FAITH-Is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. The faith only God provides, others may not understand, but the driving force that sustains day to day. The faith to know God is Sovereign, God is Omnipresent, God is Omnipotent.
HOPE-For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11. The confidence to believe in your faith. To believe that God is Mighty, in the business of miracles, and is faithful to deliver.
LOVE-He brought me to the banqueting table, and His banner over me is love. Song of Solomon 2:4. His love means He cares, He listens, He comforts. The God that made the earth covers us, surrounds us, protects us. He loves us individually and His love is great even for the little.
A banner is also a sign; giving us direction and purpose, particularly in battle. This battle is set. The fight has begun. And we fight, alongside the Commander who is the Author of Life. A Commander who is personal, powerful, present. Wow.
As this journey begins for this family, His hand is already been seen in the details of the diagnosis, His protection in getting the treatment started, and the strength this family has to move day by day. As the sun poured in over his shoulder, he did the unexpected. He rolled. And we rejoiced! The strength and determination was awesome to see.
The loving exchange of a mother and her son...safe and protected.
